FIRE KILLS MOTHER-DAUGHTHER IN MANHATTAN

December 2, 2021 11:01 am

A raging blaze claimed the life of a mother-daughter duo on November 22, 2021. The fire cruelly took the life of Warnette James, 73, and Malaika James, 37. The mother and daughter were residing at an apartment on the 24th floor at 260 Audubon Avenue since a long time, as stated by the local residents and neighbors.

The fire broke out on their apartment itself at night, the reason for which still remain unknown. However, authorities have come to know the startling fact that the 33-storey building has not even a single smoke detection machines or any sprinkler system in working condition and had not been maintained or repaired properly ever since the residents could remember.

This act of carelessness by the management of the building is being strongly criticized by the authorities and the administrator of both the women’s estates have sued them legally.
