FIRE IN APARTMENT LEAVES RESIDENTS DISPLACED

Fire in an apartment in Indiana County has left more than a dozen residents displaced. The fire broke in the Stone Lake Apartments at around 9:00 pm after which the 911 received multiple calls reporting fire. The fire was reported to have started at the upper story of the apartment engulfing the entire floor. The calls to 911 took place after the neighbors witnessed the fire raging through the roof of the apartment.

Soon after the Indianapolis Fire Department reached the site of the fire, power was shut off the entire structure to ensure safety. Fortunately, the brave fire-fighters were able to control the fire in 31 minutes. No injuries or deaths were reported. However, the reason for such raging fire is still unknown and under investigation. The fact that the occupant of the apartment is claiming that she was not present at home the entire day is fueling suspicions of the investigators. However, the occupant unformed that her apartment had some electrical issues which she had reported to the management. The fire fighter were also successful in saving 2 dogs from the fire, however, a cat is reported to have perished.
